Late night gatherings

Following the scheduled concerts, there are late night gatherings where artists jam together in free sessions with any local/amateur musicians joining in. The Cwtch to the back of the Wynnstay is a prime venue but there may be others. These are totally informal non-ticket events.

Free/donation only events

Some of our events are free for anyone to attend, although a donation to festival costs is always welcome. This year’s free events include the singing session, the clog dancing workshop, and a short concert from Cor Cyd from Aberystwyth.

Cor Cyd Aberystwyth

Côr Cyd Aberystwyth is a choir of Welsh learners and fluent Welsh speakers. The choir sings a variety of Welsh songs, including unaccompanied folk songs, cerdd dant pieces with the harp, and some songs accompanied by the piano. Welsh is the language used by members of the choir to practise (under the leadership of Brenda Williams) and to socialise with each other.
